Deeper side of my Yoga practice

Craving some connection back to yogic philosophy. I decided to start a new book, the Yogi Assignment. A 30 day journey centered on the yogic values more than in the physical practice, it assigns a daily homework both spiritual and physical and I’m loving it!

I practice yoga almost every day so this isn’t for me about the pose itself but the lifestyle. In only 3 days I’ve learned so much about myself.

Day 1 was stillness, I happened to be in the mountains so it was great to quiet the mind and sit still, so I’ve been sitting still for about 10mins in the last 3 days just listening to my own breath. Try it!

Day 2 was vulnerability, it asked to be be true to yourself and I happened to be teaching that night so I confessed to my students the struggle of a teacher when the practice weakens and it feels like losing yoga worth which isn’t yoga at all. Don’t struggle, you’re a great inner teacher!

Today day 3 was about cleanliness of mind, body and world, she suggested only positive thoughts, a food minor sacrifice like meat or dairy during the whole day plus your yoga practice and declutter your surroundings, I happen to have a stressful project delivery and I focused on success instead of possible failures, I didn’t eat any meat the whole day which is big, doubled up my yoga classes and got home to put up the laundry, unpack and organize. So freaking awesome detoxifying feeling!

Lets see how this 30 day journey goes!
